Guwahati: Heartbroken, a young girl from Nalbari district committed suicide on June 16, after making a TikTok video to inform her parents about her decision.
According to reports, the incident took place at Borkura railway gate in Nalbari district where the young girl jumped before a running train. The girl has been identified as Bandana Kalita who was upset as someone she loved had committed suicide the previous day. Bandana was a degree first year student.
Bandana filmed herself on the TikTok app just before jumping in front of the moving train. The video had visuals of the approaching train which claimed her life moments later. The video had a message addressing her parents and informed them about her grave decision.
“The person I loved the most has left. I am now waiting for the train. Bye all friends, love you all. I don’t want to die, but I have no other option. Love you Maa (mother), love you Deuta (father), please live well, take good care of my brother,” the young girl said in her TikTok video which was made just before the incident.
Following the incident, locals rushed to the spot and informed Assam Police who reached the area and recovered the girl’s body.
