GUWAHATI: Assam-man Bhabesh Das along with his two sons built a sanitizer robot from scrap materials. The sanitizer robot that has wheels installed can be fully operated with a mobile phone and can sanitize an area of 50-100 meters away from the mobile/remote. The robot has a sanitizer carrying capacity of 27 liters.
As health workers, scientists and governments struggle to contain the spread of the Coronavirus disease that has infected people globally, robots including drones are being used for sanitization and other health care activities across the world. This newly-created device can create a massive difference if used for sanitization purposes, as it is fully-operational through remote/ mobile and the machine can dispense the sanitizer automatically, keeping the operator at a distance from the contaminated area.
On the other hand, they have also created a machine for hand sanitization which is fully operational with leg and one can sanitize their hands with just pressing the paddle.
“It can be controlled with a mobile phone. It can be used easily in places like airports and railway stations,” said Bhabesh Das.
It is to be mentioned that Bhabesh Das is a resident of Dadara, Kamrup district of Assam.
