ASSAM ELECTIONS: All WINNERS FROM AGP

GUWAHATI: The Asom Gana Parishad(AGP) won in a total of 9 seats out of the 26 seats they contested.

Assam has a 126-member assembly and 64 seats are needed for a simple majority.

The Counting of votes began at 8 AM on Sunday morning. Assam voted in three phases on March 27, April 1 and April 6.

Here is the list of winners from the AGP party.

1. Amguri: Prodip Hazarika (AGP)
2. Bokakhat – Atul Bora (AGP)
3. Bongaigaon – Phani Bhusan Choudhury (AGP)
4. Chabua – Ponakan Baruah (AGP)
5. Dergaon – Bhabendra Nath Bharali (AGP)
6. Gauhati West – Ramendra Narayan Kalita (AGP)
7. Kaliabor –  Keshab Mahanta (AGP)
8. Teok – Renupoma Rajkhowa (AGP)
9. Tezpur – Prithiraj Rava (AGP)

Earlier, in 2016 the AGP party candidates contested in a total of 24 seats and won in 14 seats.
