GUWAHATI: Eight more COVID-19 patients—4 each from Golaghat Civil Hospital and Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital in Guwahati—who had earlier tested positive but subsequently tested negative will be discharged today, informed Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. With their release, the number of active COVID-19 cases will come down to 7.
Minister Sarma also revealed that 7616 samples tested at 6 medical colleges in Assam. On the other hand, the state has 2 lakh 70 thousand PPE kits, 52 thousand N95 masks and 46 lakh triple layer masks.
