Guwahati: A family of two had a narrow escape when a dumper lost control and rammed into their house in Banipur at Dibrugarh district.
According to reports, in the wee hours of Thursday, an over speeding dumper bearing registration number AS06BC 6586, lost its control and rammed into Dilip Deka Baruah and Gitanjali Deka Baruah’s bedroom where they were sleeping. The husband and wife escaped unscathed.
The over-speeding dumper was coming from Banipur station and was heading towards the national highway when it lost control and rammed into a commercial shop first before hitting the house of Dilip Deka Baruah.
The locals helped the couple and brought them out of their house. The driver of the dumper ran away immediately after the accident.
However, no news of casualties has been reported in this incident. The vehicle and the house were badly damaged in the incident.
