In a successful operation, the Crime Branch, Guwahati have seized a huge amount of drugs and also arrested two individuals, highlighting the city’s ongoing battle with narcotics.
As per inputs, police seized a large amount of contraband from Ganapati Enclave apartment located at Sewali Path, Hengrabari under Dispur Police Station in the city.
The Hengrabari crime branch raided the apartment and busted a party from where narcotics like cocaine and MDMA were seized.
During the raid, psychotropic substances suspected to be cocaine (33 g) and MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamin, commonly known as Molly or Mandy in crystal form)—11.64 g—were recovered from the possession of the drug peddlers.
The arrested duo have been identified as Digbijoy Navis, alias Diki and Kundan Thakur.
Meanwhile, three other boys and two girls have also been detained for questioning.
