23-year-old Mukhtar Hussain from Assam’s Dibrugarh has been shortlisted for the mini-auction of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Mukhtar’s name is currently in the IPL’s mini-auction list at the base price of 20 lakh.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini-auction is slated to take place in Kochi on December 23. Out of the 991 cricketers who initially signed up for the premier league, 405 are scheduled to be auctioned off.
Mukhtar is among the 405 players have been shortlisted for the mini-auction.

Mukhtar, who is a right arm medium pace bowler, made his List A debut for Assam in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on February 13, 2018. He made his first-class debut for Assam in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on November 1, 2018.
He was the leading wicket-taker for Assam in the tournament, with 40 dismissals in nine matches. He made his T20 debut for Assam in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on February 21, 2019.
