Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma kickstarted his 2-day Barak Valley visit by paying tribute to former PM Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his statue at Rangpur Zero Point in Silchar.
Taking to his Twitter, CM Sarma wrote, “It is a privilege to be back in Barak Valley. Started my tour today by paying tributes to former PM Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his statue at Rangpur Zero Point in Silchar. His towering vision continues to guide us. Sought his blessings & offered my prayers.”

After paying his rich tributes CM Sarma visited the construction site of Mini Secretariat Barak Valley at Srikona, at Silchar and reviewed its progress.
While his visit to the construction site CM Sarma mentioned that the Rs 116 cr project will be completed in 3 yrs and facilitate administrative activities of Barak Valley, eliminating the need to travel to Guwahati for govt work and approvals.
