GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday visited the Bijulee Bhawan in Guwahati and hold a review meeting with APDCL, APGCL, AEGCL and the power department officials. The Chief Minister asked the power department officials to plug revenue loss and design modalities to increase their profits.
Dr. Sarma Tweeted, “With Power Minister @BimalBorahbjp held a review meet with officials of APDCL, APGCL, AEGCL & Power Dept. Asked companies to plug revenue loss and design modalities to increase their revenue earnings and profits including an energised service delivery system for consumers.”

Dr. Sarma also asked APDCL to prepare a list of high valued consumers to tally their usage and electricity bill to compare the total electricity consumed by the organization against the amount of bill paid by them.
“Among others, I asked @apdclsocial to prepare a list of cement companies & other high valued consumers; tally their production with GST returns & electricity bill. This will be done to bring in semblance between total quantum of electricity consumed and electricity bill paid,” The Chief Minister further Tweeted.
