GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly Hitendra Nath Goswami inaugurated the new Assembly building’Bhawan’ in Secretariat Complex in Dispur, Guwahati on Saturday morning.
On the last day of the 14th budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, the session is being commenced at the newly constructed Bhawan.
The construction of the new Bhawan at the Janata Bhawan site in Dispur is yet to be completed but the house will sit informally in the new building for a day today.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assembly Speaker Hitendranath Goswami, Aminul Haque Laskar, and several MLA’s visited the building today.
The 14th assembly session will end today and the 15th assembly session will be held after the elections in the new building.
Chief Minister Sonowal and Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with several ministers and MLA’s reached the building in the afternoon today to see the newly constructed Bhawan.
