GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Assamese new year and Rongali Bihu festival, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma extended their greetings to the people of the state.
“On the first day of Assamese new year, let us all resolve to take Assam to new heights…” Sonowal said in a tweet.
নতুন উদ্যম, নতুন শক্তি আৰু কৰ্মচেতনাৰে অসমক সমৃদ্ধিৰ নতুন শিখৰত উপনীত কৰিবলৈ অসমীয়া নৱবৰ্ষৰ প্ৰথম দিনা সকলোৱে সংকল্প লওঁ আহক।

In a video message posted on Twitter, minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wished a prosperous and happy Bohag Bihu to the people of Assam. He urged the citizens to adhere to COVID-19 norms while celebrating the festival.
“Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous Bohag Bihu. Enjoy the festivities following #Covid protocols,” Sarma said.
