Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today announced the names of the recipients of the new civilian awards by the Assam government.
Former chief justice of India and current Rajya Sabha MP, Ranjan Gogoi will be given the ‘Assam Baibhav’ award.
Four awardees for the ‘Assam Saurav’ award were Kishan Chand Nauriyal, Elvis Ali Hazarika, Hima Das and Nadiram Deuri

The award includes a citation, certificate and a medal along with Rs 5 lakh for Assam Baibhav, Rs 4 lakh each for Assam Saurav and Rs 3 lakh each for Assam Gaurav winners. Other facilities for the winners include free medical treatment at government hospitals, free travel through ASTC buses, free accommodation at state circuit and guest houses, etc
