GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday reviewed COVID-19 situations in nine districts of the state.
Sarma held a review meeting in the presence of health minister Keshab Mahanta with deputy commissioners and superintendents of police of Biswanath, Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sonitpur, and Sivasagar districts.
“Instructed officials for strict monitoring of dist borders to stop trespassing; DCs & SPs to patrol for effective containment. Officers to seek help of gaon buras to spread awareness against assembly. Hooch manufacturing units to be dismantled to stop assembly of people,” the chief minister stated in a tweet.
