Assam CM rated best in managing second wave of COVID19 by India Today Survey

GUWAHATI: Among the BJP-ruled states Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has been rated the best chief minister in a India Today – Mood of the Nation Survey 2021. With 29 percent Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath shares the rating with CM Sarma.

CM Sarma has been rated on the basis of handling the second wave of COVID19 in Assam. This has been achieved within three months of Dr. Sarma taking charge of the CM office. It is to be mentioned that Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took the oath of office on 10th May.

The India Today survey placed Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik in the second place and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in the third place.

“I don’t want to comment on this. We don’t know what the situation will be tomorrow. I pray to the almighty that COVID should go away soon,” said Dr. Sarma.
