GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday met union minister for textiles, women and child development Smriti Irani in New Delhi.
During their interaction, the two leaders discussed issues related to women and child development as well as handloom sector in the state.

Earlier in the day, Dr Sarma also called on president Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
On Thursday, the chief minister visited union home minister Amit Shah.
