- Jal Mitra workers henceforth can also be used in sanitation work.
- Assam Cabinet expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving the Rs 22,864 crore Shillong-Silchar Greenfield High Speed Corridor.
- Assam Cabinet ratifies Government’s decision to provide Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the next of kin of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. The ex-gratia would be given to the victim families after May 12.
- Government orders will henceforth be known as EXECUTIVE ORDER instead of OFFICE MEMORANDUM.
- Cabinet approves projects with investment worth Rs 7,730 crore in Assam following-on proposals signed in Advantage Assam 2.0. Out of this amount, Rs 1,500 crore will be foreign investment which will provide direct employment to 16,746 unemployment youths of Assam.
- People having ration cards will get pulses, sugar and salt at subsidized rates from October.
- Gaurav Gogoi visited Pakistan and even met a Pakistani Army officer. He also took 90 Indian youths to the Pakistani Embassy in New Delhi for the purpose of radicalizing them.
- Forty people have been arrested in Assam for making pro-Pakistan comments in social media after the Pahalgam terror attack. NSA will be slapped against a couple of them but not all since many have expressed remorse for what they have done.
