GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday chaired a review meeting with three power companies of the state ― APDCL, AEGCL and APGCL.
In the meeting with the top officials of the three companies, the chief minister discussed may key issues pertaining to power sector in the state.
Power minister Bimal Bora was also present in the meeting.

reviewed functioning of three power companies ― APDCL, AEGCL & APGCL. The CM issued several instructions and directives during the meeting,” chief minister office stated in a series of tweets.
They key decisions taken in the meeting are:
✅Build a database of 63 L consumers to reduce the companies’ losses by developing a better billing system
✅Follow Gujarat model for turning the companies into profitable ventures
✅CM to meet with sub-divisional engineer level officials next month to improve power metering
