Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today attended a cultural evening that followed by a State dinner at the Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati, in honour of the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck.
The cultural evening and the dinner, which was also attended by other ministers of the Assam cabinet along with officials of the Bhutanese delegation accompanying the King was hosted by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.
Chief Minister Dr Sarma also met the Bhutanese King along with members of his cabinet and held discussions on a number of issues with King Wangchuck.

The Bhutanese King is on a three-day official visit to Assam and arrived in Guwahati earlier on Friday.
He will leave for the Kaziranga National Park on Saturday morning and enjoy Elephant and Jeep Safaris at the famed park before flying back to Thimphu on Sunday.
