In a bizarre incident, a businessman died on Tuesday morning, after he was stung by honey bees in Moriagon, Assam.
According to reports, the deceased man identified as Deepak Nandi addresed as ‘Madhu’ a restaurant owner was attacked by honey bees today morning when he was out for some work at Morigaon Circuit House Road around 9 am.
He was repeatedly stung and was experiencing excruciating pain.
Nandi was immediately rushed to Moriagon Civil Hospital but was declared dead while undergoing treatment.
For the past few days, the bee hive had been creating havoc in the area. Several persons were also attacked by the bee hive.
The locals complained that the Morigaon administration did not take any action which resulted to Nandi’s death.
The road has been closed to the public and forest department personnel are undertaking fogging and taking other measures to bring the situation under control.
