Guwahati: A businessman was abducted from the Mirza area in Kamrup in Bollywood style on Saturday night at around 09:00 PM. The businessman has been identified as Gunindra Talukdar.
According to sources, Talukdar was abducted when he was returning home from his shop. Miscreants fired bullets in the air and kidnapped him. Police have recovered empty magazine and bullet shells from the spot.
“At around 09:00 PM, a group of people fired six rounds in the air and kidnapped Gunindra Talukdar when he was returning to his home. We arrived immediately on the spot and recovered six-round .22 live bullets and a magazine from the spot. Nobody has demanded money till now and we doubt this is connected to a case, that was going on. Meanwhile, Police investigations are underway,” said a police officer.
