A young cricket star has emerged from Nalbari, Assam, and he has taken the cricketing world by surprise. Janmoy Rajbongshi, a 13-year-old student of class 7, has created a historic record by scoring a massive 430 runs off just 141 balls, including 42 sixes and 31 fours, during an under-13 club-level cricket match.

This sensational performance happened in the ongoing 1st Bipul Bharali CCD Challengers U-13 Cricket Tournament at the Deochotal Ground near Deepor Beel in Guwahati. Janmoy was representing Nalbari Gordon Cricket Academy in a match against Rhineland Club, Guwahati, and his explosive innings has become the talk of the state.

Janmoy started aggressively and scored his first 100 runs in just 31 balls, then reached 200 in 66 balls, 300 in 98 balls, and crossed 400 in just 131 balls. Despite his team being in trouble early on with 4 wickets down at just 130 runs, Janmoy single-handedly took charge and turned the match around with his stunning power-hitting, punishing every bowler on the opposing side.

His incredible knock helped Nalbari Gordon Cricket Academy post a huge total of 567 runs in 35 overs. In reply, Rhineland Club collapsed for just 36 runs in 9 overs, losing all 10 wickets. Shockingly, none of their batters could even score double digits, and six players were run out.

Janmoy is the younger son of Niranjan Rajbongshi, a businessman from Alliya (Bongaon) village, and Madhavi Rajbongshi. He studies at Bapuji Primary School, Nalbari, and is currently being trained under coaches Maheshwar Haloi and Manoj Bayan of Barpeta.

This young prodigy’s innings has left cricket lovers in Nalbari overjoyed. While Assam is already celebrating Riyan Parag’s entry into the Indian national team, Janmoy’s extraordinary performance brings new hope and pride to the state. Social media is flooded with messages of admiration and encouragement for the young boy who might just be Assam’s next big cricketing sensation.

This match not only showcased his raw talent but also highlighted how much potential young players from small towns in Assam hold. Cricket fans across the country are hoping this is just the beginning of a bright future for Janmoy.
