Guwahati: Assam boxer Lovlina Borgohain became the third Indian and the first woman boxer from Assam to grab the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 ticket.
Lovlina defeated Melieva of Uzbekistan in the 69 kg weight category quarter-finals of the Asian zone Olympic qualifiers which are underway in Amman, the capital city of Jordan.

Two other Indian boxers who have also qualified for this year’s Tokyo Olympics are Asian champion Pooja Rani (75kg) and seasoned boxer Vikas Krishan (69kg).
