GUWAHATI: Following the announcement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda to postpone all party events for next two days, Assam State BJP has also postponed its virtual rally which was scheduled to be held on Thursday noon. The decision has been taken to pay homage to the bravehearts of Indian Army who had lost their lives in the violent face-off with Chinese Army in Galwan Valley.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has announced the postponement of the virtual rally and Jan Sampark Abhiyan.
“After the announcement of our national president JP Nadda, Assam State BJP has decided to postpone all the political activities for next two days. Therefore, we have postponed virtual rally which was scheduled at 12 PM today. Our Jan Sampark Abhiyan has also been shelved for next two days,” Dass said.
He stated that Jan Sampark Abhiyan of the State BJP will resume from June 20. The virtual rally will remain postponed till a new order is issued.
