GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam Pradesh has formed a ‘Migrant Labourers Samparka Cell’ to help the workers who had returned to the state amid COVID-19 crisis.
The cell will address the issues of the migrant labourers who have lost employment due to COVID-19. State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has appointed Dr. Amiyo Kumar Bhuyan and Subhas Dutta as the in-charge and co-in-charge of the cell respectively.
The cell will reach out to the migrant workers in all the 126 assembly constituencies of the State.
