GUWAHATI: The Assam health department has been accelerating the number of COVID-19 tests day by day.
NITI Aayog Chairman, Amitabh Kant’s shared a graph on Twitter which placed Assam in 4th position on the number of tests per million population.
The highest tests per million population have been conducted by Delhi followed by Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Assam is in 4th position.
Retweeting the tweet of Amitabh Kant, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma writes, “”We will complete 5 lacs tests in next few days. Our faculties, scientists and lab technicians are working 24 hrs putting their life at risk. Hope some day people will recognise thiis selfless dedication of my team.
