GUWAHATI, Dec 5: Tinsukia BJP MLA Sanjoy Kisan has resigned from the Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma cabinet ahead of Saturday’s rejig.
Kisan held the portfolios of Tea Tribes Welfare and Labour departments in the Assam government.
It may be mentioned here that Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma had on Wednesday evening officially announced that a small expansion of his cabinet will take place at 12 noon on Saturday (Dec 7).
There are reports that three new ministers will be sworn-in during Saturday’s cabinet reshuffle.
