Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a member of the All Assam Students’ Union, or AASU, was shot by the sleuths of the Anti-Narcotics Squad in Nagaon last night.
As per reports, the student leader, identified as Kirtikamal Bora, was shot by Assam Police after he allegedly physically attacked police officials on duty.
However, all such allegations have been rubbished by Bora’s family members, who have demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
Meanwhile, Bora, who received bullet injuries in his leg, is currently admitted at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.
Nagaon SP Anand Mishra, meanwhile, has assured of a proper investigation of the case.
He added that the incident happened when the teams of police officials were on an anti-drug mission.
