Assam: 8 COVID-19 patients likely to be discharged within April 27, says Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: The number of cured COVID-19 patients in Assam is significantly increasing. Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed media persons on Saturday that 8 patients are likely to be discharged from hospitals within April 27.

“We are waiting for the test reports. We hope we will be able to discharge three patients from Dhubri within a day or two. We are looking forward to release 8  patients soon,” stated Dr. Sarma at Chapar in Dhubri district.

So far among the total 35 reported cases has discharged 19 patients from the hospitals in different districts of the state. On the other hand, one of the patients from Hailakandi district in southern part of the state died at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) on April 10. Currently, there are 15 active cases in Assam.
