GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced today that 50 percent employees of the government departments would work from home as a preventive measure to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Briefing media persons on the steps taken to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “50 percent employees of the government departments will attend office. Remaining 50 percent will work from home.”
Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the head of the respective office would ensure the 50 percent attendance on rotation basis.
However, the employees of emergency services will have to discharge their duties regularly.
“There will be no leavefor the health department employees including the health minister,” Sarma added.
