GUWAHATI: Dhubri Police in western Assam foiled an ATM robbery bid on Thursday and arrested five criminals for their involvement. According to reports, the group of five was trying to break an ATM at Gauripur. However, police foiled the bid and arrested the criminals.
Police recovered a 7.65 mm pistol and two rounds of live ammunition from their possession. LPG and oxygen cylinders were also recovered. On the other hand, police seized a four-wheeler which was used by the criminals.
Investigation into the case is going on.
