Assam: 38 COVID-19 patients discharged

GUWAHATI: Thirty eight COVID-19 patients have been discharged from different hospitals of Assam on Saturday. The patients have been discharged after they had tested negative twice for COVID-19. Among the discharged patients, 11 patients are from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwwahati, 14 from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), 8 from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) at Barpeta, 3 from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) and 2 from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma monitored the discharge of the patients at JMCH. Dr. Sarma interacted with the district administration and cotors at JMCH on current COVID-19 situation.

Dr. Sarma was accompanied by ministers Pijush Hazarika, Atul Bora, MPs Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and Topon Kumar Gogoi.

With the discharge of 38 patients today, the number of recovered people stands at 163. Currently, there are 930 active cases in the State.
