Assam: 29 pilgrims from Darrang-Udalguri stuck in Jama Masjid

GUWAHATI: A group of 29 pilgrims from Darrang-Udalguri that includes women and children has taken shelter at Jama Masjid in New Delhi. The said group had departed Assam on the morning of 14th March via Sampark Kranti Express.

After reaching New Delhi on the evening of 16th March they checked into a hotel. On the evening of 17th March, they reached Khwaja Baba (Ajmer Sharif Dargarh) shrine in Ajmer, Rajasthan. After that they returned back ot Delhi on 20th March.

When the group reached railway station on Saturday, 21st March, to return back home the trains stood cancelled. Three members (Kamal, Kamal’s mother, Kurban) from the group travelled through air and reached Udalguri.

The remaining 29 members are reported to have taken shelter near gate number one of Jama Masjid.
