Guwahati: The Assam government will provide Rs. 830 per month each to 17 lakh families under the ambitious Orunodoi scheme. The families will receive the money from October 2.
Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “It will be the biggest scheme in Assam which will include 17 lakh families. The selection of beneficiaries will begin from August 17. The beneficiaries will receive the money in the first day of month.”
The money will be deposited to the bank account of a female family member.
