Arunachal Pradesh: Army chopper crashes

A big story at this hour… An Advanced Light Helicopter of the Army has crashed at Migging Village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang District.

The crash took place at around 10:40 am this morning and the site is 25 kms away from Tuting Headquarter. Search and rescue operations is underway. As per inputs, the location has to be reached on foot. Search teams comprising Police, locals and district administration officials has set out on foot in search of the crash site

However, further details are still awaited. Meanwhile, Northeast Live has accessed exclusive footages from the crash site.

Earlier, on October 5 an army aviation Cheetah helicopter flying in the forward area near Tawang had crashed during a routine sortie. Both pilots were evacuated to nearest Military Hospital, but unfortunately one of the pilots, Lt Col Saurabh Yadav, who was critically injured, succumbed to the injuries during treatment.
