GUWAHATI, Dec 3: Arrested Hindu monk Chinmoy Krishna Das will have to spend a month in jail in Bangladesh after his lawyer was attacked by Islamist fundamentals who also ransacked his house, reports said.
Ramen Roy, the lawyer representing Chinmoy Krishna Das, was brutally attacked by Islamists, ISKCON India said on Monday.
Roy is said to be battling for life in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital.
Meanwhile, after the attack on Roy, no lawyer is willing to represent Das who was arrested under sedition charges on Nov 25.
As such, the former ISKCON monk will have to stay in prison for at least a month, reports have said.
