GUWAHATI: In another massive blow to militant activities in the Bodoland Territorial Area District (BTAD) of lower Assam, police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kokrajhar district on Sunday.
Police seized the illegal arms and ammunition from Saraibil and Sarfanguri areas of the district. The recoveries include 5 AK Rifles, 1 INSAS Rifle, 1 MMG with chain, 5 Pistols and a huge quantity of ammunition.
Earlier on August 10, another large haul of arms and ammunition was seized from Panijani part 2 jungle area under Tulshibil Out Post of Gossaigaon Police Station.
