Arjun Kapoor celebrates his 36th birthday: Family, films, relationships

Guwahati: Arjun Kapoor, son of producer Boney Kapoor happens to be one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. He entered the showbiz in 2012 and since then has been entertaining fans with his work. He turns 36 today. 

Be it action, comedy, romance, or even a series role, he has done it all in quite a short span of his career. Before making his debut as an actor, he had worked as an assistant director for films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Salaam-E-Ishq.

Family 

Arjun and Anshula are the children of Boney Kapoor’s first marriage with Mona Shourie. The couple got married in 1983 and got separated in 1996.  However, the producer, Mona Shourie had passed away in the year 2012. 

Boney then married Sridevi in 1996 and had two children, Janhvi and Khushi. 

It took Arjun and Anshula to accept Bonny’s marriage with Sridevi. 

In 2018, barriers between the two families have swept away, after Sridevi’s untimely demise in Dubai.

Arjun became a pillar of support to his father and half-sisters After being with Janhvi and Khushi the night Sridevi died, he then went to Dubai to be with his father. Since then, the family has gotten closer and are often at each other’s houses, sharing photos of their get-togethers on Instagram.

Relationships

Out of all, Arjun’s love relationship with B-town celebs is a most favourite topic among gossip mongers.

According to reports, Arjun has dated Salman Khan’s youngest sister Arpita Khan. Reportedly, the two dated for two years before she dumped him for reasons better known to her.

Arjun and Parineeti made their debut with Ishqzaade, and ever since then, they share a close bond. However, it was after the release of their first film the duo were reportedly dating. Though they never confirmed the rumours, however, their fondness for each other was evident during the promotions of their films.

Arjun and Sonakshi have worked in Tevar and ever since then, the rumours started doing rounds that the two were dating and was only confirmed after the two had an ugly breakup.

However, their cultural backgrounds become a hindrance, and how the two try to convince their families for marriage is what forms the film’s story.

This Yash Raj Film saw Arjun playing a dual role and nailing his part. He was seen as Ajay as well as Vishal and proved that he is here to stay. The movie has an IMDb rating of 6.3.

Ki & Ka (2016)

An R Balki directorial, this flick is entertaining at the same time also gives out a strong message. Ki & Ka narrates the issue of a gender role reversal. The plot of the movie sees Arjun as a house husband and Kareena as the working wife, both seem happy with their unconventional relationship, until ego kicks in. Its IMDb score of the movie is 5.8.
