Twenty-two APSC scam accused, including 19 ACS, APS and allied service officials arrested in July, were remanded to 14-day judicial custody once again after they were produced in the Special Court, Guwahati.
The group of arrested ACS, APS and allied service officials and three middlemen were produced in court after the end of 14 days of judicial custody and were sent to jail yet again.

The ACS, APS and allied service officials were arrested on July 18 after their handwriting did not match with that found in their APSC mains answer sheets. The examinations were held in 2016.

Dibrugarh Police had also arrested advocate Sailendra Sharma Barua and Surajit Chowdhury, the husband of arrested ACS officer Pallabi Sharma Chowdhury, on charges of trying to influence a judge.
