GUWAHATI: Assam’s popular singer Zubeen Garg has announced that players associated with any political party are not allowed to play in his football team.
Taking to Facebook, Zubeen wrote, “Announcing….All the players who r related to any political parties won’t be allowed to play in my team. Wl be forming a new team. Zubeen Garg artiste 11 is progressive n uncompromising. Only socialist are allowed to play football wth a cause. Vande Mataram”
Zubeen’s post came at at time when some singers and actors are flocking to join political parties ahead of 2021 Assam assembly elections.
