‘Any future act of terror to be considered act of war’: India’s big warning to Pakistan

Act of War: The warning comes with Pakistan resorting to attacks on Indian cities and military installations which have been effectively repulsed

India has warned Pakistan saying that any future act of terror by the neighbouring country will be considered an act of war and will be responded accordingly, media reports stated today (May 10), citing credible government sources.

The warning comes amid Pakistan’s continuous attempts at escalating border tensions and targeting Indian cities with drone and missile attacks since the past two nights which have been repulsed by the country’s air defence system.

Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a crucial meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and the tri-service chiefs at his residence in New Delhi.

The meeting was held after India, in an act of retaliation, struck four Pakistani air bases on Saturday morning.

Pakistan has also been resorting to unprovoked border shelling after India’s Operation Sindoor in which several civilians have lost their lives.

An senior officer of the Jammu & Kashmir state administration was also killed in Pakistani shelling today. Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thappa, Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, was killed after his residence in Rajouri town was hit by Pak shelling.
