GUWAHATI: Three foreign blowout experts from Singapore-based firm Alert Disaster Control have been injured in a fresh blast at Oil India Limited’s Baghjan oil well today.
The three experts – Anthony Steven Reynolds, Doug Dallas ans Craig Neil Duncan – who were part of the six-member team of experts from the Singaporean firm engaged in efforts to douse the fire at the well were injured in a blast at the well today.
They have been rushed to a private nursing home in Dibrugarh.
The condition of two of the three injured experts is said to be serious.
Two fire fighters of Oil India Ltd – Durlav Gogoi and Tikheswar Gohain – had lost their lives after a massive fire on June 9 following a blowout at the oil well 5 on May 27.
