Amul warns customers of fake Rs 5,000 ‘Amul Girl’ vouchers, asks people not to click unverified links

This scam features the popular ‘Amul girl’ image alongside the brand’s logo, offering Rs 5,000 to customers when they click a link posted along with the message which reportedly redirects users to fraudulent websites.

Dairy cooperative giant Amul has warned customers about a scam where fake vouchers are being distributed on social media platforms offering customers Rs 5,000 when they click a link.

This scam features the popular ‘Amul girl’ image alongside the brand’s logo, offering Rs 5,000 to customers when they click a link posted along with the message which reportedly redirects users to fraudulent websites.

“We wish to inform you (that) a fake gift voucher message featuring the Amul Girl is being shared on WhatsApp and social media. This voucher has not been created by Amul,” issued an advisory on ‘X‘.

“In the said message, a webpage link is autogenerated and is misleading the customers to fraudulent websites,” the advisory further stated, and urged customers to not click any such links.

“We also request you to kindly share this information with those who have shared the fake message with you,” the advisory also stated.

Amul also requested customers to reach out to them through their customer care toll-free mumber-1800 258 3333 or email to [email protected] in case of any queries.
