Amit Shah to visit Assam on December 26

GUWAHATI: Union home minister Amit Shah will visit Assam on December 26. Shah will attend multiple programmes in the state, informed North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor and Assam cabinet minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Sarma on Tuesday inspected Numali Jalah Parade Ground in Amingaon where  Shah will address a public meeting.

“Union home minister Amit Shah will arrive in Guwahati on December 26 with a one-day visit. The home minister will visit Kamakhya Devalaya in the morning. He will address a public meeting in Amingaon where Asom  Darshan scheme will be inaugurated. He will lay foundation stone of the second medical college in Guwahati,” said Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The union home minister will also inaugurate the developmental scheme for Batadrava Than. Shah will lay foundation stone of nine new law colleges of Assam.

Ahead of Shah’s visit, adequate arrangements have been made at Numali Jalah Parade Ground in Amingaon.

“We are working for around 16,000-17,000 seating arrangements. Security protocols have also been ensured,” said Kamrup deputy commissioner (DC).
