GUWAHATI, Feb 13: Amid the huge uproar over highly vulgar and obscene comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia at Samay Raina’s online show ‘India’s Got Latent‘, Raina, too, is facing considerable criticism with his upcoming stand-up shows in Gujarat cancelled following the controversy.
Reports said tickets for Raina’s performances in Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad, scheduled to have taken place in April, have been taken down from ticketing platform BookMyShow.
Raina, meanwhile, announced yesterday (Feb 12) that he has removed all episodes of the ‘India’s Got Latent’ show from his YouTube channel following the controversy that has resulted in police cases filed in Mumbai, Guwahati and elsewhere against Allahbadia, Raina, Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh.
“Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you,” Raina posted on ‘X’, formerly Twitter.
