All new COVID-19 cases in Assam were under quarantine:  Himanta Biswa Sarma


GUWAHATI: Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma informed media persons that all the newly-detected COVID-19 positive patients were under quarantine which decrease the risk of community spread in the state.

“Our quarantine system is working properly. We need not to worry about community spread,” said Dr. Sarma.

He stated that all the recent positive cases were from different quarantine centres in the state.  So far, the total tally in Assam stands at 104 with 58 active cases and 3 deaths.
