Guwahati: Superstar Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated film ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ has got a new title. On Thursday, director Raghava Lawrence went for the film’s censor certificate and post the screening, the makers had a discussion with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
It has been reported that the makers of the film changed the name of the film after several Hindu outfits protested against the title Laxmmi Bomb, alleging that it hurt religious sentiments and was an insult to Goddess Laxmi. Karni Sena had reportedly sent a legal notice to the makers of the film – directed by Raghava Lawrence – demanding a change in the title.
‘Laxmii’ is a horror-comedy, which features Akshay Kumar as a transgender. It also stars actress Kiara Advani in a pivotal role. Akshay’s character had created quite a buzz.
