Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has extended a helping hand to Assam in the wake of the devastating deluge, and has announced Rs 2 crore –- one crore each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and to the Kaziranga National Park.
The superstar took to micro-blogging site twitter to express his concern and pledged Rs 2 crore towards flood relief. He also appealed others to contribute to the CM Relief Fund and to the Kaziranga National Park and support deluge-hit people and animals.

On the other hand, Hollywood star and Brand Ambassador of Assam Tourism Priyanka Chopra also expressed concern over the devastating floods and appealed everone to extend a helping hand to the flood victims of the State through the CM Relief Fund.

Incidentally, ace sprinter Hima Das had on Tuesday (July 16) appealed individuals and corporate houses to help people of Assam affected by devastating floods.
