Twenty-four hours after the body of a young college girl was found inside the toilet of a passenger train at Simaluguri in Sivasagar district of Assam yesterday (July 10), the body of another woman was recovered from the lavatory of an express train today (July 11), this time when the train was stationed at Mariani railway station in Jorhat district.
The semi-nude body of a woman, believed to be in her late forties or early fifties, was recovered from the toilet of a wagon of the Avadh Assam Express. The woman was found with a towel-like cloth tied to her neck. Police suspect that the woman was strangulated to death and is also probing if there was any sexual assault involved.

The woman was also found bleeding from her nose.
NF Railway officials have been sent into a tizzy after the twin incident amid accusations of lack of security in trains.
