Guwahati: Renowned TV journalist Rohit Sardana succumbed to the deadly COVID-19 infection on Friday. Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary informed about his untimely demise through a tweet.

On April 24, Sardana had tweeted that he had contracted the coronavirus. Reports said that he passed away this morning after suffering a heart attack.
Even while he suffering from coronavirus, Rohit Sardana sought help for patients on Twitter a day before he died. In his last tweet, the anchor asked his over 4 million followers to help find Remdesivir injections for a Covid patient.
