After PK Dutta’s arrest, No one will be spared says Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal

Guwahati:  Reacting to the arrest of prime accused, former DIG PK Dutta in the Assam Police scam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that nobody will be spared.

Former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Prasanta Kumar Dutta, prime accused in the Assam Police SI exam question paper leak case was arrested on the Indo-Nepal border on Tuesday.  The operation PK was led by the additional director general of police (ADGP) for law and order GP Singh.

While speaking to the media CM Sonowal stated, “All the culprits involved in this scandal are under investigation. I have been saying one thing from the beginning; everyone should have faith in the Assam Police”.

CM Sonowal confirmed, “Assam Police are conducting the investigation with utmost sincerity and responsibility. The police will faithfully complete this investigation in the coming days”.

CM also urged everyone to cooperate with the investigation.

On Wednesday morning, PK Dutta tested negative for C0VID-19 in the rapid antigen test. He is still going through medical examination at MMCH, Guwahati. He will be produced in court after the medical examination.

Assam Police issued a lookout circular for the former IPS PK Dutta who was hiding in Kathmandu since September 24. Dutta was triying to flee from Nepal when the investigating team of the CID and Crime Branch came to know about his location.

Dutta was arrested from the Kakarbhitta area while he was on the run. According to reports, a team of CID was taking shelter in Siliguri to nab the tainted former cop.
